Ken, This is the ninth consecutive year the crew did a great job with our tree trimming. A perfect batting average of 1.000. Nice work! Made excellent recommendations, knowledgeable, efficient and did all the little extras. A first class organization.Posted on Google
John Maheras21 October 2026Brown Tree Service did great job removing two trees that were too close to our house. They also cabled/ braced a tree in our yard. Very knowledgeable in everything dealing with our trees. Their crew was very quick, thorough, and professional in taking care of the job safely. I would highly recommend them for any tree services you may have.Posted on Google
Rich Menely21 October 2026Ken at Brown Tree is the best. I have been using them for the last 15 years to do regular tree trimming. I recently had a 40 year old ash tree die. Ken came out the day I called and had the tree removed within 2 business days. The crew that removed the tree was professional and carful not to damage any surrounding grass. They cleaned up quickly after. I would recommend Brown Tree for any tree service and Ken is honest, professional and knowledgeable.Posted on Google
Jo Anne Lightfoot21 October 2026We had tree trimming and cabling done. Mr Brown was so informative with the estimate and offered a fair price. The foreman and workers who did the job were so nice, professional and just great to deal with. We have used Brown before and recommended them to our neighbors who have done so as well. They really do a great job!Posted on Google
Donna H.18 October 2026We have used Brown Tree since 1989. Ken Brown and his team run a responsive, responsible and quality service business. We always trust when Ken comes to evaluate the work that needs to be done and makes recommendations on the best approach. He has trimmed, removed trees for us and replanted new trees of better varieties that have thrived. Highly recommend Brown Tree Service.Posted on Google
Marsha Caccamo30 September 2026Ken came out to look at a 30-year-old crabapple in my yard and said it was diseased and needed to be removed. A day later the crew came and cut down the tree, leaving my yard beat and clean. The crew that ground the stump also did a really good job and removed most of the wood chips. I’m not replacing the tree now, but when I do, I’ll definitely use Brown. They’re the best!Posted on Google

I highly recommend them to anyone who needs tree services. Ken and his crew were exceptional in communication, price, work done, and clean up. The friendly, professional crew were easy to work with and so accommodating with our two sons being mesmerized by all of the machinery and tools they used to complete the job. Mary Shepke28 August 2026During the last storm our backyard tree 🌳 fell down. Called Ken's Tree Service they were out in an hour after we called. Cut down the tree & a few weeks later got rid of the stump. They were great! Also, did a great job cleaning up. We will definitely call them again to plant a new tree.+3Posted on Google
Alan D26 August 2026I had a hard to get to tree I wanted cut down. In addition to hard to get to it, it also had grown thru a chain link fence. Also needed our Maple (that Brown’s planted years ago) thinned out. Both were handled perfectly. And the guys couldn’t have been nicer!! I will always call Brown’s and not bother calling anyone else.Posted on Google
Michael Condill16 July 2026June 24, 2026 at 7:51 PM a major wind blew thru our yard. We were not home at the time. There was severe damage throughout our neighborhood and along the gas line adjacent to the back of our property. When we got home, the damage was hard to believe. We had a silver maple tree in our back yard that had to be 100 years old. We have lived here since 1976. Brown Tree Service had cleaned and trimmed our tree 4 times over the years. The wind that blew thru ripped off 4 major branches 12-18 inches in diameter. 2 landed in our garden bed on top of our potatoes, 1 landed on the fence, and 1 landed on another garden bed of ours. Our tree was not diseased at all. in fact, the branches that were ripped off all looked very healthy. We called our Arborist, Ken Brown that night. He said he'd be by at 6:30 AM the next morning. He was true to his word. He walked out back, surveyed the damage and said that this was going to be a removal, not a salvage. He said he would have a crew on sight within the hour. Again, true to his word, the crew was "johnny on the job." He told us that because of the damage around the area, that he would be back next week to grind out the stump. Once again, on the following Wednesday, his man showed up and really ground out the stump. He was here for three hours making sure that the stump was ground out almost a foot below ground level. Ken Brown has always done a professional job maintaining our tree and did a superlative job putting it to rest. We plan to replace it this coming fall after consulting with Ken. We wouldn't trust anyone else to do it for us. Mike & Barbi CondillPosted on Google
Steve Atchison6 May 2026Ken was excellent to work with. Browns Tree Svc was very prompt & efficient. Ken knew exactly what was wrong with our existing maple tree & what tree to replace it with. We received quote the same day and his crews were here 4 days later to do the project. His crews (removal & tree replacement) were knowledgeable, considerate, & extremely clean. I definitely recommend Browns Tree Svc.Posted on Google

Helen Fleming28 March 2026We called, Ken came & gave us an estimate to trim up our tree. The crew came back & did a great job trimming & cleaning up after they were done. We would recommend them.Posted on Google
Bruce Cook6 March 2026We had four workers here all day and also the business owner stopped by to check on things. They pruned seven or eight trees, removed two trees, cabled two trees and did an excellent job cleaning up the yard afterwards. We will be having them return to plant a couple trees. We are extremely pleased with the service provided including the arborists help in suggesting what needs to be done and tree selection.Posted on Google
Richard Vincent27 December 2025Crew navigated equipment skillfully around extensive plantings with minimal contact. Thorough removal of dead limbs and shaping of remaining branches. Cleanup was attentive and the request to leave chipped branches/mulch was met with courteous accommodation.

Marvin H.2 June 2026If I could give them 10 stars I would. They did a fantastic job. A storm took down my large tree leaving two very dangerous limbs over the roof and the fence. They came and accessed the damage and although had a huge list of customers, they were able to send an amazing team over to safety remove the remaining tree and cleaned up everything. They even fixed my pride and joy Windmill that was badly damaged while waiting around to begin the clean up. I am grateful for this company and would use againPosted on Yelp
Kathy C.13 May 2026We had our trees trimmed and 2 mostly dead ones removed. They did a fantastic job! 2 months later we got 2 new trees put in. They removed the 2 stumps and relocated a large shrub. Both crews were very professional and tidied up after the job. The trees Ken Brown picked out are exceptional, he's so knowledgeable. I would recommend this company for all your tree needs. I think we got great value for all They did. Kathy CookPosted on Yelp

Bill M.17 May 2025I needed a large dying 45 ft tree taken down in my backyard and a big sycamore that needed pruned, cut back and shaped. Called the phone listed and talked to a real person (Mr. Brown) on my first attempt. We scheduled an appointment for the next day. Mr. Brown showed up on time, he elevated the situation and gave me what I thought was an honest bid. We ended up taking down 3 trees and grinding the remaining stumps. This company's equipment is top notch, clean and well maintained. A team of four professionals did the work statement in five hours. My yard was raked, and all the debris were removed. I absolutely recommend Brown Tree Service. I give them 5 prefect well deserved starsPosted on Yelp
Dave B.24 April 2025They were doing some work at a neighbors house and my wife asked them about a few large trees we needed trimmed. They quoted and came out the same day. The workers were very consciences of the landscaping, grass and my neighbors house when they did the work. They did the work on time and at the quoted price. Highly recommend these guys.+0Posted on YelpDon C.29 March 2025I have used Brown Tree several times in the past, always with excellent service and results. This latest service involved replacing a cable between my River Birch trunks and cleaning up/pruning several trees. Ken is very personable, professional, and always straightforward with me. Mary S.19 July 2023I have used Brown Tree Service for at least 15 years. I have used them to remove trees, plant new trees and bushes, do a yearly trimming and pruning to keep my trees healthy, and some cabling. Their arborist, MARTY, is the most knowledgeable person about trees that I know. They have the highest quality trees and bushes around. Their crews are professional, respectfu, and do a great job with cleanup. I highly recommend them!Posted on YelpJerry T.23 June 2023Brown Tree Service was out to trim our trees and replace a broken cable on a very large River Birch. Perfect job as usual with a very professional crew. Everything was completed in one day and the entire area cleaned up. Very nice company that I have been working with for almost 10 years.Posted on YelpWilliam P.7 March 2023We had tree damage from the recent ice storm, and one tree in particular was in bad shape. It was half dead anyway and we were considering removing it even before the ice storm. So we called Brown and Ken came out and looked over the situation the next day. He gave us an estimate and when we came to an agreement he had a crew over the same day. The crew was very professional. They carefully went about cutting down the tree in pieces. They were very organized, friendly and professional. They cleaned up the debris and not one spec of damage was done to the rest of the yard landscaping. I highly recommend Brown!Posted on Yelp

Kristina G.9 May 2022Ken Brown is awesome and very responsive. We hired them to pull out thick evergreen bushes from around our whole property and take a tree down in 2019. They did such a great job that we recommended them to our neighbors looking for some bush removal and had some additional ones removed on our property. We talked to him yesterday and they were out today. Ken also recommended some tree trimming that has made our only tree look great. Would HIGHLY recommend; very reasonable!Posted on Yelp
Daniel O.27 April 2022I have used Brown tree service multiple times this year. The first time, was two remove two 40+ foot pine tress from my property. Not only was the crew on time, they were also safe, knowledgeable, confident, excellent communicators, and cleaned everything up. Had them back a second time to take a tree down, remove the stump, and plant a tree back in it's place. Again, everything was perfect. I recommend Brown Tree Service without hesitation!Posted on YelpBob C.13 December 2021We've been using Brown's Tree Service for years. Their work is professional and priced fairly. The crews that we've interacted with have always been friendly and accommodating; and they've always left the worksite as good or better than when they started.+3Posted on YelpGary Z.22 October 2021Professional, courteous crew that went above and beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend Brown Tree Service to anyone needing tree removal or maintenance.Posted on YelpWilliam S.13 August 2021Ken arrived at my house the same day we called to get help with a large Silver Maple tree that was damaged during an overnight storm. Two huge branches fell and partially damaged a neighbor's smaller tree. Brown's crew arrived the next day and cut up and removed the limbs. They also removed the damage done to my neighbor's tree. Ken recommended that I have them clear up some dead branches remaining in the maple. The crew finished in a few hours and my back yard appeared cleaner than it did before the storm. I was pleased that the company sent along with the work estimate proof of their liability insurance. I would recommend Brown's Tree Service without reservation. William Stewart Buffalo Grove, IL
